SPREADSHEETS EVERYONE MUST HAVE FOR CLAT & AILET 2027

CLAT Community has developed three free resources to help CLAT 2027 aspirants evaluate their current preparation, manage school attendance, and keep track of major legal entrance examinations. These resources are publicly accessible and do not require registration or submission of personal details.

1. CLAT 2027 CC Rank & NLU Predictor

The CLAT 2027 CC Rank & NLU Predictor is designed to provide students with a structured assessment of their current mock performance.

The predictor uses performance across multiple mocks rather than relying on a single test score. Students are required to enter their section-wise scores from their latest mocks across:

• English Language
• Current Affairs including General Knowledge
• Legal Reasoning
• Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative Techniques

For a more reliable assessment, students should ideally enter scores from approximately 10 mocks. The mocks should also be taken from different institutes or mock providers. Using mocks from at least six different sources helps reduce the effect of differences in difficulty level and paper-setting style across institutes.

The spreadsheet calculates section-wise average performance and uses this data to generate an overall assessment of the student's present preparation level.

Score Estimates

The predictor provides three principal score indicators.

Expected Score

This is a conservative estimate based on recent mock performance. A buffer is incorporated to account for the possibility of examination-day pressure, stress and avoidable errors.

Expected Improvement

This represents the score range that may reasonably become achievable with continued preparation and improvement in weaker sections.

Best-Case Scenario

This represents a higher performance range that may become achievable where preparation, mock analysis, revision and examination execution improve substantially.

These figures are intended to provide a current performance benchmark. They are not fixed predictions.

Students who are taking approximately three mocks per week will have a substantially new set of mock data within a few weeks. The spreadsheet can therefore be updated periodically to measure whether preparation is actually improving.

NLU Prediction

The spreadsheet also provides NLU-wise admission indicators based on the student's estimated performance.

Universities are broadly assessed according to whether admission appears:

• comparatively safe;
• likely;
• borderline; or
• unlikely.

The purpose of this classification is to help students connect their mock performance with their target universities.

Rather than looking at a mock score in isolation, students can use the predictor to assess how much further improvement may be required to reach a particular NLU.

NLU Cut-Off Data

The resource also contains historical NLU cut-off information from CLAT 2025 and CLAT 2026. The data is organised NLU-wise and category-wise and includes relevant reservation information. Students may use this section to understand historical closing ranks across different NLUs and categories. The spreadsheet also contains score-to-rank estimates based on previous CLAT data. The methodology, assumptions and sources used for these calculations are provided within the resource.

Historical cut-offs and score-to-rank data should be treated as reference points. The difficulty of CLAT, score distributions and admission cut-offs can vary significantly from year to year.

2. CLAT Community CBSE Attendance Tracker

The CLAT Community CBSE Attendance Tracker is intended primarily for Class 12 students balancing school requirements with CLAT preparation.

As the examination approaches, many students need to determine how much flexibility they have to take leave from school for mock tests, revision and focused preparation.

The tracker allows students to enter relevant attendance information and calculate:

• their approximate current attendance percentage;
• the number of school days already missed; and
• the number of additional days that may remain available while maintaining the applicable attendance requirement.

The purpose of the tracker is to provide students with a clearer numerical picture of their attendance position before planning leave.

Important Note on Attendance

The tracker is intended as a planning tool and should not replace the school's official attendance record.

Students should independently confirm:

• their officially recorded attendance;
• the applicable minimum attendance requirement;
• the number of working days considered by the school; and
• any school-specific attendance rules or exemptions.

Students are advised to confirm their attendance position with their class teacher or relevant school authority before making decisions regarding leave.

The spreadsheet may also be adjusted where necessary to reflect the student's particular school calendar or attendance system.

3. LETs Tracker | CLAT Community 2027

The LETs Tracker is CLAT Community's Legal Entrance Tests Tracker for the 2027 admission cycle.

CLAT may be the principal examination for many law aspirants, but students should avoid making their entire admission cycle dependent upon a single entrance examination.

Unexpected circumstances can affect examination performance or participation. These may include illness, travel difficulties, administrative disruptions, rescheduling or simply an unusually poor examination day.

Maintaining alternative entrance examination options therefore forms an important part of admission planning.

Information Covered in the LETs Tracker

The tracker consolidates information relating to major legal entrance examinations, including:

• entrance examination names;
• registration timelines;
• examination dates;
• examination mode;
• participating or relevant universities;
• selection processes; and
• other important admission-related information.

Where an official date has not yet been announced, the relevant entry may be marked TBA — To Be Announced.

Students should periodically review the tracker as universities release or revise their admission schedules.

The objective is not to divide preparation equally between every available entrance examination. Students may continue to treat CLAT as their primary target while simultaneously ensuring that appropriate alternative applications remain open.
